Hi! I’m Jill Stark, a miniature house enthusiast! As an artist, I do fixer-upper for vintage (doll)houses as well as collect them. 

Welcome to My World of Miniature Houses!

I’d love to share my journey with a hobby I discovered back in August 2017—dollhouses! Although, to be honest, I prefer calling them “miniature houses.”

To me, antique miniature houses are more than just toys or collectibles. They’re history in miniature—tiny reflections of the architecture, interior design, and decorative arts of their time.

As more historic buildings disappear under the wrecking ball, miniature houses offer a charming way to preserve a little piece of the past. Each one tells a story, and that’s what makes them so fascinating to me!

Why I Started This Blog

There are a few reasons I decided to create HouseMiniatures.blog:

• One place for everything! Rather than sharing my photos, discoveries, and stories here and there on social media, I wanted to bring everything together in one place where I could reach a wider audience.
• Organization, organization, organization! A dedicated space to document my collection, restoration projects, research, and discoveries.
• Connecting with fellow enthusiasts! I’ve already met so many wonderful miniature house lovers through Facebook, and I’d love to connect with even more collectors, artists, and history enthusiasts.
• Sharing my Etsy shop! I also wanted a place to showcase miniature treasures and collectibles available through my Etsy Shop: Jill Stark Collections

Whether I’m restoring a forgotten dollhouse, uncovering the history behind a vintage find, or simply admiring the tiny details that make these houses special, I’m excited to share it all with you.

After all, miniature houses may be small, but the stories they hold are anything but!
